I think that is not a fair rule, because girls have the same ability as men, and a lot if women are competing in the olympics and watching.The thing that was interesting was that men think that they were stronger than women back in those days.
I really appreciate your thoughtful answer to this activity. I agree that the 'No Girls Allowed' rule isn't fair but I do wonder, as Mrs. Parker suggested in an earlier post, if it might have been a good idea to hold separate events, one for men and one for women. What do you think of this idea?
I think that it is a really good solution to the problem and would have provided both men and women with an opportunity to compete and demonstrate their athletic abilities. I truly believe that girls/women can do anything that they set their mind to and I would have wanted them to have the same opportunities as men had back in ancient times.
What are your thoughts? I'd love to know what you think of this idea...
I agree Shanya, it is interesting that men thought they were stronger than women, in some ways they are. However, there are plenty of things that women can also do just as well, if not better! I'm certainly glad that times have changed and we are now able to participate as equals.
