Pativai's Dear Diary

This is my dear diary writing about a man and his dog Sessor how they go to war.

I was packing ready for war in flander’s field right away from friends and family. I brang along my awesome fluffy guard dog with me Sessor , we marched along in the big celebration in our represented soldier uniform having the hardest time of my life. Sessor and I jumped in the big green army van. We got in the camouflaged ark still wondering what would it be like after the war. Plot plot plot splashing the water in the air having to carry our heavy bags. Crash as the enemies shot away, splash splash men floating on water the lost of our men. The fog the dark clouds got us time to get to the trenches.

Having to see the horrible deaths of those men we lost. “Come on guys let's get ready we lost not that, much. We were lucky out there” as the captain said in an sad slouchy voice. We got to the trenches it was dark freezing like an dark cold freezer. I had an rest with Sessor curling up on me. The fur warmed me up having the morale feeling in my heart. Men watching out for the enemies.

Crumble crumble the men walking around in the trenches, making sure there were nothing suspicious in the trenches. Early in the morning it was dark with the rain splashing through the wet squishy ground. BOOM as the cannon went from the enemies it was like an firework show except this, firework can have people’s live end. We started to get guns ready boom boom the gun went flop as men went down we took them in an pile and started to shoot. Sessor stayed safe were all the other mascots were. (After the war) men lying in an pile the men who risked their lives for the country.

It was a tragedy having to see even mascots lying down resting their heads. Some men had to go to the nurses to heal them, so they wouldn't end their lives too some men laid their heads downs as the nurses could not do anything else. Sessor got released and he was still alive except he was limping he had an plaster around his leg I was still happy to see Sessor again. Sessor and I went in the ark and went home, Sessor was excited he was barking with joy all the men that survived were happy and went home to family and friends.

Sessor and I got home and all the family and friends were happy to see them, they jumped and celebrated having cake and an big feed for them to be still alive.

Faith's postcard for Reaching Ray's Rock

In this graph it shows Dean's feelings from the start of the story to the end of the story. At first he felt confident but when his Dad said to him that the weather was bad his confidence began to go away. Then he felt really worried but when he was half way up the mountain his confidence came back but he fell down. When he got back up he pushed him self and started to say chants to keep his confidence up. When they had reached the top of the mountain he was very proud and that was the end of the story.

This Is My Post card To Dean from the story Reaching Rays Rock. This post card from Deans dad to Dean.

And underneth that is how he was feeling over time in the book.

At the Being of the story it is up because he does dont know about the thunder storm. Then its hits the unsure emotion because it is up to dean to decide wether they should turn back or not. Then it goes down to Scared and worried beacase he falls down in the snow and hits himself on a rock that is siting on the ground. Try reading the story to figure out the rest of the points on this drawing.

Deans Postcard by Shanya

WALHT: Empathise with a character in a story.
When we finished reading the book and having sometime to chat we had to, create a postcard from Dad to Dean or Dean to Dad, reflecting on the experience and how it has changed Dean for the better. The second activity we had to do was a beginning, middle to end emotion activity. We had to consider how Dean was feeling throughout the story. In the begging dean was feeling happy because it was his first time hiking up a real mountain. The middle was about him saying "How about a picture!" and him thinking about the weather made him feel bad. The end was about he reached Rays rock and seeing how far they have made.

Pativai's Reaching Ray's Rock

WALHT :Empathise with a character in a story.

Dean (The main character) at first when he was going to climb Ray’s Rock he was feeling happy then, the weather started to change and he started to feel unsure if he really wanted to climb the mountain. When he took his chance he started climbing and started to feel worried because of the weather. He started to feel really good about himself so he wanted to take an photo but they had to keep on going otherwise it would get worse. He felt proud of himself that he got to get near the top of Ray’s Rock.

This postcard that I wrote was to dean from dad for there adventure climbing up to Ray's Rock.He had so much fun and sometimes he was feeling happy sometimes he was feeling scared and sometimes he felt happy an scared at the same time .
