Activity 2 by Ashleigh

One of the most legendary athletes in the ancient world, Milo of Kroton, wore the victor's crown at Olympia no less than six times. Born in southern Italy, where Greece had many colonies, Milo won the boys' wrestling contest in 540 BCE.

  1. Hi Ashleigh, Welcome to the Winter Learning Journey. I am so happy to see that you have joined us. Yay!

I really enjoyed reading the interesting facts that you posted about Milo of Kroton. He was quite an amazing athlete at the time. I think that winning 6 Olympic medals is an amazing feat, however, I beieve that the most successful summer Olympian in history is a swimmer named Michael Phelps. He is from the United States of America and has won a grand total of 22 Olympic medals to date. Wow - that is pretty incredible, isn't it?!

I hope that you continue to participate in our winter learning journey. There is plenty more to learn, create and share along the way!

    Best, Rachel
