Week 1 Activity day 1 by Ashleigh

Activity 1

After you have read the quick facts about each place you must choose ONE country that you would like to ‘visit.’ On your blog post the name of the country and tell us why you have chosen to visit it. Please give, at least, two reasons for choosing the country.
I want to go to united arab emirates the way I like it because it is composed of many small countries, on December 2, 1971, the six emirates of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah and Umm al-Gawan declared independence and formulated the Interim Constitution to form the United Arab Emirates, then in 1972 February, the Ras al-Sharif haciendas to join, so I want to explore about many different people from other country and what’s same and different between their culture.

  1. Kia ora Ashleigh!

You are the first person in the Summer Learning Journey to choose to blog about the United Arab Emirates. This is awesome! I had really hoped that someone would choose to learn more about this fascinating country. It is not an area of the world that I have ever been but it sounds like there are plenty of interesting things to see and do in the UAE. If I had the chance to go there I would definitely like to explore the desert. I've never walked in a real, authentic desert before. Have you?

Keep up the great work with your blogging. I am really looking forward to learning all about the UAE from you!

    Cheers,
    Rachel

I'm Mark, a teacher working for the summer learning journey with Rachel! It is very cool that you chose the U.A.E. for your virtual tour. I have friends that have lived and worked there, but I don't know much about it. It is going to be very exciting reading your blogs about it!

The only thing I really know is that the hotels in Dubai are huge and luxurious with lots of amazing features. Also, one of the Mission Impossible movies was filmed there. Oh, and it can get sand storms! But the thing I want to try the most is sand surfing or sand boarding! It looks like so much fun!

Copy and paste this link into your browser and have a look.

    What do you think?

    I hope you're having a wonderful holiday!

  3. Hi Mr Barlow!

I know sand boarding and I also seen sand boarding on TV, but I don't know that Mission Impossible was filmed there! Thank you for telling me all of the facts that you know.
