Bonus - speech BY:Shanya
During the holidays I went to Japan. These are the things that I did in japan. I went to the monkey hot spring it was so fun looking at the monkeys and the species of the monkeys are snow monkeys. The water in the pool looked hot. I also went to the zoo in japan. In the zoo I saw some panda's, seal's, monkey's and underground creatures. I went to the yakushi-ji temple and looked at the amazing art and designs in the temple and outside of the temple. I also went to a restaurant to eat some dumplings in noodle, it was so yum. The name of the restaurant was robot restaurant. The red seats were comfy. I watched some nice programs on the TV. I loved my visit to japan!

I love you adjectives and the way you summerized you trip to japan.
My highlight if the holidays so far was going to Te poi for a camp. We stayd there for week and I went there with the Glen Innes pathfinders. You may not know what that is but it is a church club and this camp was special because we could is big camp. Big camp is where we have a camp for a week plus all the pathfinder groups from around newzealnd come to camp. Glen innes church ( My church pathfinders) did a production.
Hae a good holdiay

Hi Shanya!
ReplyDeleteI am thrilled that you enjoyed your trip to Japan. You were able to see and do so many cool things, weren't you? I love that you looked at the beautiful architecture, went to visit the monkey hot pools at Jigokudani, ate dumplings and watched interesting Japanese TV. You really made the most of your Summer Learning Journey experience.
Way to go, Shanya! Both Mark and I are so proud of you for completing the journey. We hope that you enjoyed it!
I'll look forward to seeing you when I come into Stonefields early in Term 1 to hand out the certificates and the prizes.
Cheers,
Rachel :)
