Charlie's W1 D2 BA2

Bonus activity
Wellington is the capital city of New Zealand. Have you been to Wellington? If so, please tell us about two things that you did when you were in Wellington.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to go to Wellington, follow the link to learn more about this very cool city: Discover Wellington.
On your blog, tell us what two things you would like to do if you had the chance to visit Wellington. Would you go to the botanical gardens or visit the Beehive? Perhaps you would prefer to go shopping on Cuba Street or go out for dinner on Quay Street…

Unfortunately I myself have not been to Wellington, but I were to go there i would love to visit a place called mission inflatable, this is a indoor inflatable world with lots of activities all to do with inflatable things. I would also like to visit jumparama and you may be thinking “ why would she go there we have lots of those here in auckland” well this is not the same as the others this jump park has more then just tramps it  also has a rock climbing wall to jump off in the foam pit and that the jump walls and 2x bigger then the ones here this also has a lot more tramps then the ones here.

Shanya's Bonus activity - Wellington

Wellington

The first thing that I saw at wellington was red rocks bay. They  had a track and a road where you could walk or drive, then as you walk there will be rocks that formed a gate. Then after the gate there are some seals but you can't touch them because they are wild seals.

The second place that I visited was the beehive. first was a security check then you had to wait at the visitors lounge and they had a gift shop inside for visitors. When our tour guide came we had a chat about what to do and what to not do. we went to all the parliament rooms. then once we were done we exited the building and went to some shops.

I have never been to wellington but by the site it sounds and looks amazing. i would really want to go shopping and check out the new clothes and shoes they have in store and if I did go I would want to compare the things in wellington to the things we have up here in Auckland. i have actually written a story about a family and they stay down in wellington in Porirua and then they moved up to Auckland and they had a great time. I would also like to go out for dinner at denny's beaus eit is my favourite place to eat when we got out, and also we would stay there for about one week.

Pativai's Animal Poster

This is my animal poster. I learnt that there are animals in world war one because at first I did not know that animals would be mascots in world war one but, now I know that is what i learnt from the story. I found that getting the information for the animals were quit hard since, I mostly did dogs the information that they, put in weren't with breeds so it was a bit difficult to find that information. I would do the next time is to change the size of the font so that I could put in a bit more information.

Carmen's Letter to John Key the Prime Minister

When I heard the name John Key I started to panic "what should I write?" but I got there in the end.
Hope you enjoy reading my letter   :-)

Dear John Key,

My name is Carmen ,I’m a year six girl at Stonefields School. I live with my family in
St John's in Auckland.

I strongly believe that the New Zealand flag should stay the same for the following 3 reasons.

Firstly, the New Zealand flag has lots of memories of the Anzac War like how people died to protect New Zealand under the flag, so we could have a better world without war and disturbance to New Zealand. Also my sister is a brownie/girl guide and it means so much to keep the original flag as it is.

Secondly, the current flag suits New Zealand perfectly, the blue comes from the sea/ocean.
The Union Jack image represents how we used to be a part of the British empire. The southern cross represents the stars at night that watch over us and guide us south.

Finally I know the flag referendum would cost over $26 million. I know it’s not much for you, but think about the homeless they don't have as much money, and cancer, think about that. They need money, don’t get me started on a rest home oh boy they need money and hospitals, doctors, schools, kindergarten lots of other places that I probably don’t know about yet.

That's why I think we should keep the original flag as it is.

Yours Sincerely Carmen A
